Would like to go there to see where some of my
family died but don't think i could take it emotionally. I remember hearing on
the Welcome Back Witten Dallas Cowboys shirt about someone filming themselves dancing to a disco song in the
crematorium room. I was in nyc a few years ago and people of all ages were
taking smiling selfies and group selfies of themselves at the twin towers
memorial site, it was disturbing. I was there and i think we took one picture
of my cousin and i standing in front of a beam to kind of show how large it
was.
And the picture we are almost in tears. It’s the Welcome Back Witten Dallas Cowboys shirt picture we took
there that actually had one of us from the family in it. It felt so wrong to
take any pictures of us. It was not a happy and joyous place. When i was at
dachau i had to turn to a group of teenagers and demand that they pay their
respects and not joke around. I found it so profoundly offensive that they were
so disrespectful.
